Super Moon 2020

Had a nice treat last night with the super moon showing up down at the Palo Alto Baylands. I was a bit worried about the clouds, but, they ended up being a great frame for the moon. Using the 400 2.8 with a 1.4x, I was able to isolate the moon, and use the ridge line to anchor the photos.

Lucky I had that little peak right under the moon to give it some perpspecitve.

The moon passed through a cloud layer and popped up a few minutes later.

I really like how the moon is nestled in the clouds on this one. By this time, I’d lost the orange glow, but the detail in the moon really pops.
