Inverness Impression
We kicked off our first Iris Creative Experience last weekend in Point Reyes with a group of 10 students. On the way into the park, we stopped off to photograph the iconic S.S. Point Reyes boat wreck and I was intrigued by the view up Tomales Bay north from Inverness. Luckily it was low tide and I was able to walk out to a vantage point that normally would not exist.
The low clouds and subtle colors reminded me of an impressionist painting and I tried to capture the details of the interplay between the mist, sailboats and shoreline. For me, this image captures the feeling and ambience of the Point Reyes area.
Photographed with my Sony a7R4, and the amazing Tamron 70-180 2.8 lens. Processed in Photoshop Camera Raw. The 60 megapixel sensor will allow this image to go really big on the print side and look fantastic.
